Jim Reed JR6-SSH-W
di John Davidson | 04 settembre 2001 ore 11:50
Features: 8 This guitar is an Italian Stallion! I'm not sure what wood the body is, but judging by the weight it's probably alder or ash. It was recently constructed and very well constructed at that. The 22 fret neck is a doddle to play. I don't know what it's made of and I wouldn't like to guess.Feels a bit like an Ibanez wizard. The guitar has a 5 way blade, 1 volume and two tone controls. It's also got a hidden bonus-a coil tap in the humbucker located under the 2nd tone control. The body is a bit mad-a cross between a modulus bass and a small jazzmaster, but incredibly unique. The subtlely sparkling blue top and pearloid scratchplate sit nicely against the gleaming chrome of the Floyd Rose trem that's fitted to the body. The pickups are Jim Reed's own brand-other models come with Kent Armstrongs. The guitar just came in a box (I had asked, as I've already got a spare case). Only two things were a problem-getting used to tuning from the bridge (all my other guitars are hardtails)and reaching the coil tap. The pot is a little hard to lift in a tight spot. Other than that-outstanding!
