Fender EMEA has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to join the Sales Team in Italy.  This position is field based and will be primarily focused on the sales of Fender products into our established network of Fender dealers. The Sales Manager will build and maintain effective working relationships, working collaboratively with internal departments such as Marketing and Credit to provide excellent account management to our customer base.
Key Purpose of the Job
  • Working within the Field Sales Department of Italy, the Sales Manager will be responsible for an allocated sales area as well as the management of a specific geographical sales region.
  • The role will require a high level of communication with other departments including the Sales Directors, EMEA Marketing Department, and EMEA Head Office.
Main Responsibilities
    Area Sales & Sales Management
  • Achieve budgeted sales target for allocated sales area.
  • Make regular sales calls to accounts on the assigned area and keep in contact between visits by telephone and e-mail.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge for the relevant product lines being sold.
  • Ensure retail account staff receive excellent product knowledge training to maximise sales and promote brand awareness.
  • Responsible for all visual merchandising and product representation in-store and on-line to comply with company requirements and regulations.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and potential new clients.
  • Maintain control of dealers’ stock ensuring correct stock levels are maintained, new products are presented and exit strategies for discontinued product implemented.
  • Ensure adherence to all the FMIC visual merchandising displays by brand during store visits.
  • Advise the Marketing team of in store marketing requirements or changes in market place.
  • Maintain and monitor warehouse stock.
  • Monitor and assist accounts on promotions and rebate schemes, ensuring terms and conditions are adhered to.
  • Liaise with credit control on a regular basis and collect outstanding monies where necessary.
  • Maintain order forms and in-store price lists in a timely manner.
  • Represent the Company in a positive manner at all times.
  • Ad-hoc projects as instructed.

  • Process and distribute sales promotion information to DSMs in required format
  • Maintain and monitor European warehouse stock.
  • Work with FP&A and Planning to ensure budgeting and forecasting is accurate.
  • Compile monthly and quarterly sales figures for EMEA exec team.
  • Provide timeline and strategy on new releases.
  • Liaise with European Divisional Marketing Managers and Marketing Department on new releases and proposed projects.
  • Report marketplace information back to the Sales and Marketing Teams
  • Support the delivery of retail and consumer events.
  • Liaise with Marketing Director and Marketing Department on new releases and proposed projects and provide timeline and strategy on new releases for the Managing Director.

    Essential Skills/Experience
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Sales driven and able to reach and exceed personal and team targets
  • Able to coach and mentor new sales managers
  • Proven experience in a sales role
  • Driving licence
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be self motivated
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritise work and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to problem solve and contingency plan
    Desirable Skills/Experience
  • Experience as a Sales Manager
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the organisation
  • Knowledge of FMIC product lines
